Refunds

You see a free, watermarked preview of your recovered file before you pay. That preview is the honest picture of what you're buying — the same footage, at reduced quality, with the length shown in plain numbers. Because of this, most questions are answered before you ever check out.

We'll refund your payment if the full file you download is materially worse than the preview you approved — for example, if the download is corrupted, doesn't play, or is missing footage that the preview showed. That's a real problem on our side, and we'll make it right.

We can't refund a file simply because the recovery wasn't complete. If the preview showed a partial recovery — say, 12 seconds of an 86-second clip — and you chose to buy it, that's the result you approved. We show partial results plainly and never sell them as full recoveries, so the decision is always yours to make with the facts in front of you.

To request a refund, email us at hello@filefix.io with the approximate time of your purchase. We don't need you to send the file. Refund requests need to be made within 48 hours of purchase, because unclaimed files are automatically deleted within 48 hours.

Refunds are for the amount paid on that file. We make one refund decision per file, based on the preview you approved and the file you downloaded.
