Why TS files stop playing
TS (MPEG transport stream) files come from TV and satellite recorders, IPTV and HLS stream downloads, and some screen recorders. The video is split into small fixed-size packets with timestamps.
A recording or download that stopped early, lost packets or broken timestamps can make players refuse the file, freeze or jump, even though most packets are still there.
FileFix reads the packets that are present and rebuilds a playable file, and only offers checkout when it produces one. Footage that never reached the file cannot be recreated.
