Why ARF and WRF files won't open in a normal player
Older Webex cloud/network recordings use .arf and local recordings use .wrf. These aren't standard video files — they're proprietary containers that hold the meeting in the vendor's own format. VLC, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player simply don't understand them, which is why a perfectly healthy ARF or WRF still "won't play."
So the first thing to know is that most ARF/WRF "won't play" cases aren't corruption at all — the file is fine, you just need the right tool. The free fix is the vendor's own player/converter: On Windows, the Webex Recording Converter turns .arf into MP4; Webex's WRF converter exports .wrf to WMV, which you can then convert to MP4 with a standard video converter. We'd always rather you convert it for free than pay us for a file that isn't actually broken.
The case where FileFix can help is a genuinely damaged recording — the download was interrupted or the file is truncated — that the vendor's converter turns into an MP4 that won't play. Once you've converted an ARF/WRF to MP4 and that MP4 is broken, that's ordinary video corruption — and rebuilding a playable MP4 from a truncated one is exactly what we do.

No — FileFix can't take ARF or WRF files. The right (and free) tool is the vendor's own converter — the Webex Recording Converter for ARF, or Webex's WRF-to-WMV converter followed by a standard WMV-to-MP4 converter. We come in when the MP4 it makes won't play: upload that MP4 here.
That usually means the recording was truncated on download, so download it again if you can. FileFix can't take the ARF itself; if the converter then gives you an MP4 that won't play, upload that MP4 and the free preview will tell you whether there's recoverable footage before you pay anything.
