Failure-mode explanation
MP4 is the most common video format in the world — phones, cameras, drones, GoPros, screen recorders, and editing apps all write it. Most "corrupted MP4" problems are not damage to the footage itself. They're damage to the structure of the file: the part that tells a player where the footage is and how to read it. That structure can be broken or missing after an interrupted recording, a failed transfer, an app crash, or a card removed too soon.
When that happens, the player can't make sense of the file and shows an error or a black frame — even though the footage inside is often intact. filefix reads what's actually in the MP4, rebuilds the structure a player needs, and re-assembles a playable MP4. You watch a free watermarked preview and see exactly how much we recovered before paying.
This works for the large majority of container and header problems in MP4 files. What it can't do is invent footage that was never recorded — a genuinely empty file has nothing to rebuild. And some files that look like ordinary MP4s are actually proprietary DVR recordings in disguise; those need a different kind of recovery, and we route you there honestly.
