We couldn't recover this one.
The file is too damaged to rebuild, so there is nothing to preview and no charge.
What stopped you continuing? One tap tells us why.
Try a deep repair
The repair engine can try a longer pass on the file you already uploaded.
Machine-only processing; no human views files; nothing is sent to an outside AI.
Have another clip from the same device?
A healthy video recorded on the same device — ideally the same settings — gives the repair engine a template to rebuild from. It can unlock repairs that fail on their own.
Unrepaired files are kept encrypted for up to 30 days, then deleted.
FileFix can't fix that kind of file yet.
Right now we repair video, audio, document, and image files (MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, AVI, TS, MTS, M2TS, MPG, MPEG, VOB, 3GP, WebM, FLV, M4A, WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, AIFF, XLSX, DOCX, PPTX, ODT, ZIP, RAR, PDF, AI, HEIC, and HEIF). We're adding support for more formats over time.

Why Opus files stop playing
Opus is the audio codec behind many voice notes, call recordings and web audio exports. An .opus file stores those packets in Ogg pages, each with a sequence number and a checksum.
An interrupted download, a sync that copied the file mid-write or a recorder that stopped without finishing the file can leave pages missing, out of sequence or failing their checksum. Players then stop even though earlier audio is still in the file.
FileFix resynchronizes the readable pages and only offers checkout when it produces a playable result. Packets that never reached the file cannot be recreated.
What we can and can't fix
We can usually fix
- Audio files that won't open or play after an interrupted save or transfer.
We can't fix
- Genuinely empty files, deleted files, or DRM-protected tracks from a music store. More →

Questions
An .opus file is Opus audio inside an Ogg container: the player follows Ogg page headers, sequence numbers and checksums to find each packet. A truncated save or a damaged page can stop playback before the remaining audio is reached.
Opus files are not yet in our measured test set; in the Ogg Vorbis set, which shares their Ogg page structure, FileFix fully repaired 6 of 24 damaged files and recovered part of the audio from the other 18. The free preview shows what came back from your file.
No. Readable earlier pages can still be rebuilt into playable audio, but packets that never reached the file cannot be recreated.
A one-time $8 USD — and only if the repair works. Seeing what was recovered is free, and checkout is only offered when the engine produces a validated repaired file.
